Vartech Systems’ 32 Inch Outdoor, Sunlight Readable, LCD Displays and IPCs Now Available In 1080p, Full HD Resolution

VarTech Systems’ large screen, fully enclosed, rugged 32" LCD monitors and computers are now being offered with a full, high definition, 1080p resolution flat panel. The VTPC320VHB 32” daylight readable, widescreen, LCD, all-in-one computer and VT320VHB outdoor, rugged LCD monitors are capable of 1200 nits display brightness operating at an impressive maximum operational temperature range of -40 to +70C. The large screen LCD computer is powered by the latest Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor with 2GB of system memory featuring Window’s XP operating system (Windows Embedded or Windows 7 optional). Multiple mounting configurations including wall and ceiling mount in either landscape or portrait orientations are available on both the LCD monitor and IPC. These systems are NEMA 4 (IP65), fully enclosed, black-powder coat finished and have no external vents. This offers advanced weather-resistant protection against water, dirt, dust, flying debris and humidity. Infrared red touch screen technology is also available on these units.

The LCD display screen of these models have an optically bonded, anti-reflective protective window for added shock and vibration protection and reduced solar reflectivity providing increased outdoor viewing ability. They are also integrated with VarTech's proprietary Optical Stack Enhancement (OSE) which is a unique optical design that boosts efficiency of the backlight's light utilization and minimizes the surface reflection of ambient light. Optionally, the VTPC320VHB and VT320VHB are available with impact resistant cover glass or vandal resistant, scrape-resistant touch screen technologies. A multitude of inputs can be included on the IPC including dual gigabit LAN ports, PS/2 keyboard & mouse support, VGA output, RS-232 and USB 2.0 with a 120 VAC, 50/60 Hz 5A supply voltage and optional 220-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz international supply voltage. The VT320VHB’s I/O ports can consist of power, VGA, BNC, DVI, S-video, serial or USB.

These 1080p, Full HD resolution, widescreen, LCD, daylight viewable monitors and IPCs can be used in a number of indoor and outdoor environments and workflows. They are ideal for transportation industry applications in areas like railway stations, airport terminals and bus stations. They can also serve as information and totem kiosks, multimedia workstations, and training simulation applications. The high definition industrial, all-in-one computers and monitors are also effective for outdoor digital signage displays exhibiting information in high ambient lighting like public areas, parks and shopping centers. Mining is also a suitable use for these models such as tunnel boring or other underground mining situations where real-time data or imagery needs to be updated and retrieved by those at ground level.

Vartech Systems Produces New Wash Down Video Demonstration To Showcase The Resilience Of The ToughStation Line of Fully Sealed IPCs

VarTech Systems has produced a new video demonstration showcasing the wash downcapabilities of their line of industrial grade, fully enclosed computers. Created in-house and on-location at the sales and marketing headquarters in Baton Rouge, La., this presentation depicts a hazardous area, C1D2, fullysealed, NEMA 4X, touch screen computer receiving a 2400 psi, hose-directed, total wash down. One of VarTech’s own sales personnel, Mark Frakes, gives the viewer an up close look at this rugged touch screen computer by demoing its touch interface capabilities and its fully sealed water proof construction. Boasting a NEMA 4X (IP66), gasket sealed enclosure with glandular, sealed cable connections, Frakes tests the limits of this IPC with a prolonged, high pressure wash down.

The computer has a wide operational temperature of -10 to 60C assisted by the rear dissipation heat sink. The unit’s low power consumption is aided by the utilization of the Intel Atom fan less processor with dual core Intel processors optional. The touch screen functions and overall PC operations remain unaffected by the direct, high-pressure wash down giving testimony to the unrelenting nature of this industrial computer. With no external vents, the fully enclosed NEMA 4X and NEMA 4 IPCs allow no opportunities for the intrusion of water or foreign air born particles such as dust, dirt, etc. “This demonstration will really give viewers a firsthand account of the rugged characteristics and construction of the products we manufacture here at VarTech Systems,” Frakes says.

Additionally, a new video featuring VarTech’s hazardous area C1D2 computers has also been produced. The next in an on-going product demo series, this presentation highlights the ToughStation series, non-purged, explosion proof PCs. The exhibition spotlights include the NEMA 4X stainless steel construction and fully sealed, glandular cable connections insuring UL class 1 division 2 rated standards across the entire unit.

VarTech Systems’ Releases New 19 Inch, Sunlight Readable, Fully Enclosed, All In One, Fanless, Touch Screen Computer

VarTech Systems, the leader in industrial environment computing, has added a new sunlight readable, 19 inch, high brightness, 1000 nits, touch screen computer to their line of rugged ToughStation IPCs. The newly released 19 inch, VESAMount computers are housed in a fully gasket-sealed 316 stainless steel, NEMA4X (IP66) enclosure as well as a NEMA 4 (IP65) black powder coated construction. This system is integrated with a powerful Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor with an optional T4500 2.30 GHz 800MHz FSB Intel Dual Core Processor. System memory is expandable to 4GB and features a completely fan less PC design offering impressive computing power in a quiet, low-power usage configuration.              

All of VarTech’s fully enclosed, fully sealed computers can be customized to be equipped with either bottom-exiting or rear-exiting connectors as well as a host of i/o port configurations including 1 LAN port, 2 RS-232 COM ports, 3 USB 2.0 ports, 1 power on/off and 1 power connector. This allows for maximum system integration and compatibility into most industrial workstation environments. Additionally, the fully enclosed, sunlight viewable computers come standard with resistive touch technology eliminating the need for a mouse and keyboard.
